1. What are the
monthly rental rates at the Bowling Green Retirement Village?
Monthly rental rates range from $1410
for a studio apartment, $1425 for an efficiency apartment, $1625 for a 1
bedroom apartment and $1795 for a 2 bedroom,1 bath apartment. Support
services are available for an additional monthly fee. Full service
Assisted Living monthly rental rates are $2295 for a one room suite and
$2695 for a two room suite. There is a $650 additional cost per month
for a second occupant.
2. Is your
Assisted Living community licensed?
Yes, we are certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health
Services.
3. Do I have to
make a deposit in order to rent an apartment?
Yes, a $650 non-refundable move-in fee is required before moving in or
reserving an apartment.
4. How many
apartments do you have?
We have 15 studio apartments, 16 efficiency apartments, 40 one-bedroom
apartments, 20 two-bedroom apartments and 40 assisted living suites.
5. What about
stairs and elevators?
There are no stairs or elevators on this campus. All apartments are on
the ground floor. Those with outside entrances have no steps at the
outside door. Studio apartments and assisted living suites do not have
outside entrances.
6. Is there a
place I can sit outside in good weather?
Apartments with outside entrances have patios where residents can relax,
do their own flower gardening, hang bird feeders and enjoy cooking out.
We also have community patio and porch areas for enjoying the outdoors.
7. I like to
decorate my apartment. What kind of permission do I need?
We encourage residents to decorate their apartment like home. Only major
structural changes require permission.
8. Are there
laundry facilities?
We offer a large laundry room with washers and dryers for use by
residents at no charge. If you would like us to do your laundry for you,
a nominal fee is charged. Weekly housekeeping includes changing and
laundering of bed sheets.
9. What other
features should I know about?
Window blinds, carpeting and utilities are included. Apartments have
individually controlled heating and cooling. Centralized mailboxes are
attended by the United States Postal Service. Each resident has his or
her own mailbox key. Most apartments have an electric kitchen.
10. What if I
fall or get sick?
Each apartment is equipped with a 24-hour emergency response system. Our
staff is trained to provide comfort care until help arrives.
11. What if I
need rehabilitation therapy?
Physical, speech and occupational therapy is available on-site through
arrangement with the Phoenix Rehab Group.
12. Are there any
additional monthly costs?
No. Telephone and cable TV are billed by the utility involved. All other
utilities are included in the rent.
